硫辛酸有三種

2. S-Lipoic Acid (非天然)：自然界不存在，是化學合成的產物 (廢物)、身體無法辨識它、也很不容易吸收，甚至會抑制天然的硫辛酸，例如天然硫辛酸幫助身體產能，人工硫辛酸則抑制身體產能。
3. Alpha-Lipoic Acid (50%天然、50%非天然) 也稱為 Racemic Alpha-Lipoic Acid、(R/S) Alpha-Lipoic Acid、ALA
